Nestled between lakes Mendota and Monona in South Central Wisconsin, Madison boasts the highest number of restaurants per capita in the nation. While many of these claim to offer vegetarian options, many of them are simply being dishonest. We'll help you sort those out. This website is one of many VegCity sites serving as a one stop comprehensive vegetarian and vegan dining guide. (Please see the Resources section for other cities.) We also have listings for housing and grocers in the area that are veg friendly, and lists of local vegetarian and animal rights organizations.

April 26, 2008- Started updating this site again. There's an active vegetarian meetup group now (with some excellent meetings at local restaurants.) Sadly, Country Life Restaurant has closed due to a zoning issue.
